Agenția Națională de Meteorologie a emis o avertizare Cod Portocaliu pentru județul Gorj și alte nouă județe de viscol și ninsoare. Sunt vizate zonele de munte (peste cota 1800 m) din județele Alba, Brașov, Sibiu, Argeș, Prahova, Dâmbovița, Caraș-Severin, Hunedoara, Gorj și Vâlcea. 27 de copii din familii defavorizate au primit daruri din partea polițiștilor locali din Târgu Jiu. „Păstrând tradiția anilor precedenți, colectivul Poliției Locale Târgu Jiu s-a mobilizat, din nou, pentru a aduce zâmbete și bucurie în sufletele a 27 de copii care provin din familii aflate în dificultate. Polițişti din cadrul Poliției Orașului Bumbesti Jiu, sprijiniți de oameni cu suflet mare au vizitat în cursul zilei de astăzi, 15 copii, din comuna Turcinești, încărcați cu daruri. De asemenea, tichetele de masă primite de polițiștii din Turceni, în urma donării de sânge de ieri, au fost folosite pentru a cumpăra alimente şi alte produse necesare,care au fost dăruite unor familii aflate în dificultate.

Pompierii gorjeni l-au adus pe Moş Crăciun la o familie cu patru copii, care se confruntă cu mari greutăţi materiale. „Ei sunt Ionuț, Andreea, Valentin și Alex! Au 2, 4, 7, respectiv 10 anișori! Astăzi, cu ajutorul pompierilor militari, Moș Crăciun i-a vizitat și le-a adus mai multe cadouri decât au sperat vreodată! Bucuria de pe fețele lor te face să conștientizezi cât de mărunte sunt lucrurile care te pot face fericit!
